Swingmatism CD Launch ! 28th Oct , 7pm

Award-winning Australian musician, composer and arranger - Ken Schroder - is launching his new CD at Providence this October! 

'The name Swingmatism is borrowed from a song title from the 1940s but conveys the idea of swinging jazz with perhaps hypnotic qualities. In this case, we present as a trio with Ken Schroder(reeds), Aaron Entresz (guitar) and Isaac Gee(double bass).

We will present some of the music from the CD, Schroder originals and interesting material from Bernstein, Brubeck, Gordon Jenkins. We’ll throw in a couple of songs with Spring in the title, and there’ll be a variety of rhythms and styles to keep up the hypnosis.

The CD, recorded in Hobart earlier this year, will be available for purchase.'
